The 5 Unbreakable Laws of DevOps

🚀 “If DevOps Had a Rulebook—These Would Be the First 5 Laws!” 🚀
đź’ˇ The 5 Unbreakable Laws of DevOps:
Most engineers learn tools before principles—and that’s why their DevOps pipelines fail.
But what if DevOps had a rulebook? Here’s what it would say…
1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is Non-Negotiable
• If you’re still clicking buttons in the AWS console, you’re doing it wrong.
• Use Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation—because manual work = human error.
🔥 2. CI/CD is the Lifeline of Engineering
• Deploying code should be automatic, repeatable, and safe.
• If you can’t deploy multiple times a day, your pipeline is broken.
🔥 3. Logs, Metrics & Tracing Are Not Optional
• If you don’t have visibility into what’s happening in production, you’re flying blind.
• Use Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and OpenTelemetry to track everything.
🔥 4. Security Should Be Baked In, Not Bolted On
• If security is an afterthought, you’ll pay for it later.
• RBAC, network policies, secret management, and vulnerability scans should be automated.
🔥 5. Automate Everything—But Understand What You Automate
• If you automate without understanding, you’re just shifting problems to another layer.
• Be intentional with automation. Know what happens under the hood.
đź’ˇ Why should YOU care?
Because DevOps is not about tools—it’s about mindset & principles. Master these and tools will follow.
